Description'Dear Professor Poynting,
I have to-day returned Mr LcLauren's paper in accordance with your request.
A meeting of the Sectional Committee for Physics and Chemistry has been summoned for Wednesday, the 5th, and it would be a great convenience if we could have by that date your report on Mr Manley's paper. If, however, you are unable to report by then, will you please return the Ms [manuscript] for use at the meeting.'
