Description'Sir,
I am directed by the Gassiot Committee of the Royal Society to forward you the enclosed cheque for £212.7.4, being six months interest to July 1, 1910, on £10,000 Italian Irrigation Bonds, and payable to the Meteorological Committee in accordance with the terms of the subjoined Minute of Council, April 26, 1910:-
"The Council took note that the Gassiot Committee will pay over the income of the Gassiot Fund to the Government Meteorological Committee as from July 1 next".
Kindly return the accompanying form of receipt.'
