Title | Copy letter from John Rose Bardford, Secretary Rs [Secretary of the Royal Society] to Dr F [Frederick] F [Frost] Blackman, FRS |
Date | 21 March 1910 |
Description | With regard to the subject of the publication of Mr Thoday's paper, which Blackman communicated to the Royal Society for the Proceedings; the Council expressed the opinion that the Proceedings should be reserved for short papers so far as possible. Therefore a paper that is too long for the Proceedings, but not suitable for the Philosophical Transactions should be referred back to the authors for condensation.
The Council recommend the paper be halved in length and that it is merely a rough draft as stands and the Society should not be called upon to accept a paper in this form. |
