TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Alfred Bray Kempe, Treasurer of the Royal Society
Date6 December 1910
DescriptionThe resolution authorising the grant from the Publication Grant to Professor [Alfred Cort] Haddon the sum of '£330 was allotted' for the purpose of assisting the publication of the results of his expedition 'to be paid in instalments of £55 upon the appearance of each volume of the results'. The strict wording would seem to bind the Council to pay £330 in all to Professor Haddon; but to pay it only in instalments named. It seems a fresh resolution is wanted one way or the other.

The last payment of £110 was in January 1909, and some light is thrown upon the general progress of the work. Haddon has written asking for the balance of the grant and talks about the forthcoming volume, of which he is already out of pocket.
