TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Surveyor of Taxes, St George, Hanover Square (District)
Date21 January 1911
DescriptionRegarding their enquiry of 16 January, income tax is not deducted on payment of the Mackinnon studentship. Their second question, as to the names and address of the persons who receive the studentship, relates to the income of private individuals, and as such questions, except as regards office salaries, so far has never been put to the Royal Society with regard to any of its payments, Harrison should like to know whether the Royal Society is under any obligation to answer it.
