Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Herbert Hall Turner, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 February 1911 |
Description | Sir Joseph Larmor has handed Harrison Turner's letter about Hinks's candidature to late before the Council at its next meeting, when it will no doubt receive every consideration. In the meantime it may be a satisfaction to him to know that since he saw it, Harrison has gone carefully through the records of requisition for resuspension in order to assure Turner that the omission of Hinks was not due to any oversight, but there is no trace of a request for resuspension.
It seems Turner supposes that Hinks's candidature has lapsed because his certificate was not suspended, but this is not the case, as a certificate remains valid for five years. |
