TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr C [Charles] Chree FRS
Date10 May 1911
Description'Sir Joseph Larmor has asked me to reply for him to your letter of the 8th about the visit of Professor Farr and the Australasian Antarctic Expedition. Sir Joseph thinking you might tell Professor Farr that in this country we are glad to help and that includes you advice if you are willing to take the trouble.
All we know about Dr Mawon's plans or foreign co-operation is the report of Professor Farr's conversation with you and that is not enough to allow the Royal Society to take responsibility for a plan already half settled and of which it has no official cognizance.'
