TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, HM Office of Works
Date12 May 1911
Description'The learned societies in Burlington House, headed by the Royal Society, proposes, as on the occasion of the Coronation of His late Majesty King Edward VII to decorate and illustrate the front of Burlington House on the occasion of the approaching Coronation of King George.
A scheme of decoration and illumination adopted in 1902, and approved by HM Office of Works, was generally admitted to be very effective, and it is proposed to repeat it on this occasion.
In these circumstances I am directed to express the hope that HM Commissioners of Works will again sanction the scheme being carried out.'
