Description'With reference to the Tyndall Mining Studentship awarded to you last year for the prosecution of your investigation into mystagmus, I am directed to ask whether you will be prepared to make a report upon the progress of your enquiry in the course of this summer, and whether you contemplate completing your research within that time of desire to apply to the Committee for a renewal of the Studentship. It is desirable that the Committee should be in a position to make disposition of the Tyndall Mining Bequest before the end of June.'
