TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor P V Bevan
Date26 May 1911
Description'Sir Joseph Larmor handed on to me your letter of last year relating to your desire to obtain gratuitously, for the Holloway College Library, some of the publications of the Royal Society, and as I am now laying similar application before the Library Committee it would be well, if the College still wishes to make formal application, that it should come in as soon as possible.
I cannot anticipate in any way what the views of the Committee will be; but it is to be forseen that difficult in the way of granting such an application will be that other Ladies' Colleges, which at present are not on our free list, would probably hear of it and expect similar treatment; and the publications of the Society from such a very series item of expenditure that the Society cannot afford to reduce the receipts on account of sales.'
