TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to E C von Helfenstein, 145 E Mt Pleasant Avenue, Philadelphia, USA
Date13 June 1911
Description'In reply to your letter of May 31, I am afraid I cannot give you any facts concerning Dr D Cox. We only know of him as a name among the list of early Fellows of the Society. The date of his election is given as March 22, 1664, and in our printed list his name is spelt without the final e.
We have an anonymous book in the Library, of date 1669, which is attributed to "Dr Cox", who might very well be the same man. It is entitled "A discourse, wherein the Interest of the Patient in Reference to Physics and Physicians is soberly debated".
I fear this is all the information I can furnish.'
