Description | Adverting to previous correspondence with reference to the Commission which is being despatched to Nyasaland [Malawi] to investigate Sleeping Sickness. The opinion of the Royal Society is that it is very desirable that arrangement for the Commission work should be organised the same as the case of the pervious Commissions on the subject, namely that all reports should be sent to the Royal Society, that they should be issued in the names of the whole Commission rather than individual names, and that those working for the Commission are entirely under the orders of Sir David Bruce. Bradford is to express the hope that the Secretary of State will concur with these arrangements and will communicate their purpose through the proper channels, to the Principal MEdical Officer of the District and other persons concerned. |
