TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Mr Hart, The Controller, The University Press, Oxford
Date24 June 1911
DescriptionHarrison saw Hart's photographer on Friday and they have agreed that it would be best to defer beginning to photograph the Charter book until the beginning of September. On the head of every page of the Charter Book there is written the "obligation" to which every Fellow of the Society subscribes; but, as the writing varies from time to time in the course of the two centuries covered, the Royal Society think it best to have the "obligation" printed in a suitable type and impressed uniformly at the head of every page in the reproduction. Harrison describes the type of script he would like it written in and asks for a slip to be set up in such a type.
