TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor the Honourable R [Robert] J [John] Strutt FRS
Date31 July 1911
Description'I have your card and duly received the Life of Frankland and Siemens for the Library.
The Library regulations require me to demand the return of all books out on loan by the 1st August, and I am afraid therefore I am bound to ask you too make a special request for sanction to retaining the books still in your hands. If I am armed with this I can shelter behind the Chairman of the Library Committee, the 14th August anyhow, because then the whole place will be closed for cleaning.'
