TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Horace Hart
Date5 October 1911
Description'Many thanks for your letter and for the dummy proof of the Charter Book. I think that the effect is vastly better with the tinted paper as margin, and I should have been glad if you could have sent me a few pulls of the actual pages on that paper as well as cutting them out and sticking them on; it would be so much more convincing to the people I have to show them to.
The binding question is one on which there are sure to be deliberations here. I have no doubt that the wish will be to bind - at any rate a certain proportion of the edition - fairly handsomely, and if it were possible in any way to imitate or suggest the original binding, it would seem appropriate for a facsimile. If not, I should be very glad if you could give me an idea of what the Roxburgh binding would look like.' [faded addition to text]
