TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Secretary, Society of Chemical Industry
Date3 November 1911
Description'In accordance with the scheme of organisation it is necessary for the Society Chemical Industry to make a nomination to the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory, and I am to ask you to move you Council to nominate a representative for the ensuing six years.
Mr David Howard, the present representative of the Society, would in the ordinary course retire on December 31st next, but since his term of office on the Executive Committee of the Laboratory does not expire until December 1914, he becomes a supernumeracy member of the General Board until that date.
It is desirable that the nomination should reach this office not later than December 6 in order that it may be laid before the Council at their meeting on the following day.'
