Description'A vacancy arises on December 31st next in the representation of the Institution of Electrical Engineers on the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory owing to the retirement by seniority of Sir J Gavey, and I am to ask you to move your Council this vacancy for the ensuing six years.
It is desirable that the nomination should reach this office not late than December 6 in order that it may be laid before the Council at their meeting on the following day.'
