TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir John Bradford, KCMG, Sec RS
Date7 November 1911
DescriptionMr Osbourne's letter.
The complaint about the Phil[osophical] Trans[actions of the Royal Society] is probably based upon an exclusive interest in the B series in which no volume appeared between Sept 1909 and March 1911.
With regard to the latter part of his letter, in which Mr Osbourne complains to Bradford that the Librarian of Melbourne University Library has written several times to the Royal Society
on the subject of his deficiencies, but without success. Harrison can only find one letter from that Librarian asking for a missing copy of the Proceedings in 1908, which was provided. Harrison trusts that it is not too much to hope that Bradford will point out to Mr Osbourne that it would have been well for him to verify his facts in the responsible quarter before going to Bradford with a complaint.
