TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor B [Bertram] Hopkinson FRS
Date20 November 1911
Description'I have your note with your paper. In any case I am afraid it is impossible to include it in the advertised list of papers for reading next Thursday, because that list have to go out this afternoon, and no paper can be set down for reading until it has been accepted for reading by the Sectional Committee or by one of the scientific Secretaries in conjunction with the Chairman. I have no power myself to go behind these rules. If, however, you are content to let it be read without previous announcement, and if it should be accepted by the regulation authorities before next Thursday, I do not suppose there would be any objection to its being put down at the last minute for that day.'
