Description | 'I have been looking up the correspondence and Minutes relating to your appointment to Uganda, and I think that all that really requires to be said has been written to you officially: but, to make quite sure, I send this to inform you that the Minutes of the Royal Society's Committee, communicated to you in my letter of April 5th, have been confirmed, and have been accepted by the Colonial Office; and to remind you, with regard to the last sentence of the Minute referred to, that your investigations are ot be carried out under the supervision of the Royal Society, and that you are expected to communicate direct with the Society from time to time with regard to the progress of your researches.
