Description'In reply to the letter (22588/11) of December 18th, 1911 from Sir Thomas Heath, I am directed by the President of the Royal Society to state that the Royal Society, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the National Physical Laboratory, have accepted the condition subject to which further building grants of£5000 will be inclined by HM Treasury in the estimates succeeding - namely, that the scheme of extension at Bushy House for which this provision is to be made, viz:- the scheme referred to in the Royal Society's letter of date May 20th, 1911 - will be completed without further application for grants from the public funds.'
