TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir Alfred Kempe, Treas RS
Date4 March 1912
Description'The enclosed bills of Haine's are very belated, as much of them really belongs to last year, but he has the excuse that we was absent from his business through illness for three months last autumn; and the delay in payment is largely my doing, because I sent them back in time for the last Council meeting. In these circumstance it seems rather hard to keep Haine waiting until next Council meeting, since he has let me know he would be glad of the money; so perhaps you will be able to see your way to sign the cheques now and get the payments confirmed at the next Council meeting. All the time charges were either sanctioned beforehand or were, like the Soiree work, inevitable: and they have been carefully checked. I enclose also a cheque for your endorsement,; [no enclosure]
