TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Lt Colonel H R Adair, 21 Nightingale Place, Woolwich
Date4 March 1912
DescriptionReplying to Adair's letter of February 29, it would be a long an difficult task for anyone here [the Royal Society] to pick out of the list of Fellows from the last 196 years, those who have been officers of the Royal Regiment; but it would comparatively simple for you or anyone having before them the record of the Regiment to compare it with the list of Fellows, and for this purpose Harrison should be happy to sent Adair a copy. Unfortunately the complete list of Fellows from the beginnings of the Society 250 years ago is only now in the press for the purpose of a new edition of the Record of the Royal Society. The last edition of that publication brought the list up to 1900, and if that would be useful Harrison will lend him one, and could, in a few weeks, send him a proof for the list covering the subsequent twelve years.
