TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to John, Warden of Wadham College, Oxford
Date8 March 1912
Description'It was a gratification to the Royal Society that Wadham College had nominated you as representative at the Society's celebration in July and is desirous of giving a welcome to the Society in Oxford. You can understand with what a peculiar[?] the Fellows of the Society look forward to a visit to a place with which the early listing of their Society is closely linked.
I understand that St John's College Cambridge librarian proposes to offer hospitality to the Society and its grants on the occasion. It will of course be desirable that the Committee who are making the necessary arrangements at the two Universities should settle the details by mutual agreement.'
