TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor A [Arthur] R [Robertson] Cushny FRS, Chairman of the Physiology Sectional Committee
Date22 March 1912
Description'Paper by Thomas Lewis and M D D Gilder, on "The human electrocardiogram; a preliminary investigation of young male adults, to form a basis for pathological study! communication by Sir J R Bradford, Sec RS.
This paper was refereed to Prof Gotch and Dr Bayliss, both of whose reports are favourable to publication. Prof Gotch says "The paper is a valuable record of the variations in what appear to be normal cardiograms of this type taken under precise conditions are essential for the interpretation of pathological electrocardiograms. The present research appears to have been conducted under such conditions, all the necessary data as regards the instrument used being set forth and the protocol given in the tables form an integral part of the work and should be published with the letter press".
The Biological Secretary suggests that the paper might go forward for printing for the Philosophical Transactions under Standing Order 43 without waiting for a meeting of the Sectional Committee, if the Chairman agrees in thinking it desirable.'
