Description'On part of the Royal Society I have to thank you for your letter of the 12th, intimating that the Chairman of the City Lands Committee has kindly agreed to grant the use of the Guildhall for the Society's Commemorative Dinner next summer. You give the date as Tuesday 18th June, but the date asked for was Tuesday 16th July as stated in the President's letter to you of 1st March. Will you be so good as to let us know that this letter date is accepted by the authorities of the Guildhall. I am desired to state that the Royal Society agrees to the conditions mentioned in your letter.'
