Date18 April 1912
Description'The Record.
I am much obliged by yours of the 16th, and return you the specimen proofs of type for the Alphabetical Index of Fellows.
The President has had no hesitation in selecting the smaller type, marked "B" on the specimen. I shall be much obliged by your putting the composition of the whole Index in hand at once on receipt of the manuscript.
I return herewith the 10 clips you set up for the specimen and am sending off to-night the rest of the copy of the Index.
I also send, for a second revise, pages 174 to 224 of the text, which the President would like to see, with the references, as marked, filled in and the few corrections carried out. I shall be sending you some more ready for press this week I hope.'
