TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W van Bemmelen, Batavia [Jakarta, Indonesia]
Date18 April 1912
Description'In reply to your letter of February 29th, I am directed to say that assuming that the original quick-run curves alone exist at present - any taking of copies being still a thing of the future - the best course would be for you to wait until Captain Scott's expedition has returned, and those responsible for discussing his magnetic observations have seen his term day records and decided exactly what corresponding records they would like from the co-operating stations. It would be a pity to put you to the trouble of taking copies which may not be wanted. If, however, copies have already been taken, it might be best to get them now, and in that event they had better be sent to Dr Chree FRS, Kew Observatory, Richmond, Surrey.'
