TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to the President, Royal College of Surgeons
Date4 May 1912
Description'As there is now no reason for further delay in taking steps towards the accomplishment of a fitting Memorial to the late Lord Lister, I have to ask whether you as President of the Royal College of Surgeons, together with a few leading Fellows of the College, would be willing to meet a few Fellows of the Royal Society, with the view of consulting together as to the mode of procedure, and more especially as to the formation of a large general and thoroughly representative Committee which would make the appeal to the public.'
