TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Major H W Weekes, Brigade Major
Date15 May 1912
Description'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society].
With reference to your letter of May 2nd, addressed to Messrs Harrisons, our printers, respecting a volume of the Society's "Philosophical Transactions", this publication, and also the "Proceedings" have been despatched for many years by the Royal Society to an address in Chatham, and it would be regrettable to learn that any doubt existed now as to their ultimate destination.
The address to which we have been requested to send publications is as follows:- The Librarian, Royal Engineers Head Quarters Library, Chatham. As the subscription on your parcel in not quite so full as the above, instructions have been given to Messrs Harrison & Sons to adhere to the regular form.
Formerly the publications of the Society were sent to the War Officer and were distributed from thence, but the practice was discontinued by request.'
