TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie to W F Shaw
Date20 May 1912
Description'I received your letter of 16th enclosing a copy of the meteorological Committee's Report on Eskdalemuir Observatory, these personal difficulties are always the most extreme to deal with. We must have a meeting of the Gassiot Committee as early as possible. Properly the meeting should be held at Kew, but I find that at present at least when there is a pressure of work the distance of Kew could and the length of time concerned in getting there and back is felt to be a considerable drawback. My own feeling is that if we were to meet here we should be more likely to get a full meeting. It will hardly be practicable to have meeting with alter the Whitsuntide holiday next week.'
