TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to the Assistant Secretary, Royal Anthropological Institute, 50 Great Russell Street, WC
Date20 May 1912
Description'The stress of immediate business has compelled me to delay a reply to your letter of the 4th instant.
It was with much regret that I observed the omission of the Officers of the Royal Anthropological Institute from the invitation list to the Society's Soiree in May, but I was powerless in the matter. The Committee which settles these invitations was so anxious last year to prevent the overcrowding of the rooms which they considered had occurred, that they reduced the invitation list by omitting the Councils of all institutions, which had formerly been invited, and restricting the invitation to the President.'
