Description | The Council of the Royal Society had before it some months ago an application from the Fitzwilliam Museum at Cambridge for a set of medals awarded by the Royal Society to be placed in the museum collection. The Council gave authority for the medals to be struck in bronze. Now that the annual request is about to be presented to them to strike the medals awarded for the present year, Harrison is directed to ask if they will also strike off one complete set of medals in bronze. Would be glad to know whether application to use the die of the Royal Medal is necessary. |
