TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A [Alfred] W [William] Porter FRS
Date2 December 1912
Description'The paper by Mr and Mrs Guthbertson on "Refraction and dispertion of the halogens etc", which you sent in on behalf of Professor Trouton, have been receiving careful consideration at the hands of the appointed authorities: who concur in recommending the paper for publication, but subject to material modification.
Professor Schuster, Chairman of the Committee concerned, thinks that the proposed amendments could be much better explained in conversation than by any formal letter, and will be very glad if you can spare the time to discuss the matter with him; if you would kindly undertake to go into it afterwards with the author.
Professor Schuster could see you here by appointment at any time between ten and twelve on Thursday morning next; but if you cannot arrange that, it must wait until Friday the 13th instant, when he will be available here at three o'clock in the afternoon.'
