TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W [William] N [Napier] Shaw FRS
Date7 December 1912
Description'Rosse Fund.
With reference to your letter of June 24th last, (which are referred to our Accountants) enquiring as to the dividende of the Rosse Fund. I am afraid we shall not be able to afford the precise information you seek.
The remittance mentioned in your letter appears to have included the dividends for the period January 1909 to December 1911, and these were the first instalments of the income of the Fund, which the Society undertook to administer.
The dividend of December 1908, referred to in your letter, was not paid over to the Society.
Perhaps if you made enquiry of the Accountant to the Bank of Ireland, he would give you information respecting the early receipts of the Stock, and as to arrangements made with Lord Rosse.'
