TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to G C Lloyd
Date9 December 1912
Description'Your Council's nomination of Sir Robert Hadfield to the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory was laid before the RS [Royal Society] Council last week; but in filling up the vacancies on the Governing Body they elected to adopt Sir Robert Hadfield as an independent nominee in order to give them power to put him on the Executive Committee as well as the General Board; which they could not do otherwise, because Mr W H Ellis, representing your Institute therefore is left with another nomination to the General Board, and it will be a great convenience if your Council can make that nomination soon in order that the full list may be ready for publication next month.'
