TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor S [Sidney] H [Howard] Vines FRS
Date23 December 1912
Description'With reference to your letter of the 19th instant on the subject of Professor Bose's paper, I desire to assure that nothing was further from the minds either of the Secretaries or myself than to show you any discourtesy in the matter. It is really my fault that the letter to Prof Bose was sent in a sealed envelope, instead of being enclose in a covering letter to yourself, as I fully intended it should be, I was very busy at the time and let the letter go out as it was.
With regard to the merits of the question. I can only say that the paper has had very full consideration and discussion here, both by Sectional Committee and the full Committee of Papers, and that the communication to Professor Bose is the result of a deliberate decision.'
