TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr A [Arthur] Harden FRS
Date7 January 1913
Description'We have received in a rather round-about (the letter having been addressed in the first instance to our printers), a letter from one Dr A V Lebedew, describing himself as Professor in the Polytechinical Institute of Novotscherkassk, Russia, asking that a statement he enclosed with regard to Mr Harding's recently published paper "On the action of enzymes on hexosephosphate" may be translated and printed. I enclose my own translation of the statement for you to see [no enclosure]. Sir John Bradford, to whom I showed the matter, does not hink it is one of great importance, but has suggested that I should report it to you and ask whether you propose to take any action upon it. We here cannot find any record of Prof Lebedew. He is not in "Minerva" in the list of Professors at Novotscherkassk, nor is he mentioned in the German "Wer-ists".'
