TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor Sir J [Joseph] J [John] Thomson OM, FRS
Date15 November 1912
Description'The paper by Mr J C Chapman on "The spectra of fluroescent rontgen radiations" which you communicated to the Society recently, has been under consideration; and with the approval of the Chairman of the Committee of Physics & Chemistry, the Secretary for Physics is now prepared to mark the paper for printing: subject however to revision in view of the criticism that has been made upon it to the effect that "the paper is faulty as to its English and should be submitted for amendment in that respect".
Before sending the paper to press therefore I have been asked to return it to you with a view to this revisiion being carried out. Sir Joseph Larmor wishes me to say also that in his opinion the title is ambiguous.'
