| Description | 'I have to acknowledge your letter dated to-day. Your letter dated 12th December to Professor Schuster about Mr Cuthbertson's paper is in my hands, but my instructions from Professor Schuster were that in view of the opinion you expressed against altering the paper, the question should be reserved for the Sectional Committee, which will be meeting shortly; and on that account the paper was not sent back to you for alteration. If you are content to leave the matter so, the decision will be obtained as soon as practicable; but if you still wish to have the paper back for modification I will, with Professor Schuster's concurrrence, return it to you.' |
