Title Copy letter from Archibald Geikie to [William Napier] Shaw
Date25 January 1913
Description'I am passing on to you the proof of the rest of Commander Hepworth's Introduction to Part II of the "Meteorology" of the Antarctic Expedition. I have read it and have pencilled some verbal amendments, but without alteration of any of the statements.
You will remember that before Captain Scott left on his present Expedition, I drafter a preface to the present volume and [transmitted] it to him and to you. I have [sub...] this draft (to which he agreed) in the new Preface and I should be glad of any observations that you may have to make on it. Please return the written copy, as I find it is the only one we have.'
