TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor E W Marchant, The University, Liverpool
Date28 January 1913
Description'I am obliged by your letter of yesterday, enclosing an abstract of your paper; but fear I cannot print it as it stands because it is more than double the length [prescribed] for Meeting Abstracts, as stated in the printed letter which invited it. The best I can do in the short time available is to ask Professor Silvanus Thompson who communicated you paper, to condense the abstract within narrow limits for the Meeting, and if he is willing to do so I presume you will be content. If you object to this course please send me a telegram tomorrow morning.'
