Description'Professor Bose has now returned his paper on "An automatic method for the investigation of the velocity of transmission of excitation in mimosa", revised to accord with the instructions of the Committee of Papers; and I send it to you for your inspection, together with the remarks of the past and present Chairmen of the Physiology Committee upon the revised paper.
I also enclose copies of the referees' reports upon the paper as originally presented, for your guidance.
Major Darwin has kindly been in and has settled the print about the first [?] to Sir George.'
