TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Messrs Williams & Norgate, 14 Fenristta Street, Covent Garden, WC
Date17 February 1913
DescriptionWith regard to the Royal Society's claim for the Title &c to Vol. 50 of the Jahrbucher fur Wissenschaftliche Botanki; the Royal Society are greatly surprised at what Messrs William & Norgate state in their last letter on the subject. They informed that Messrs Borntraeger decline to supply the missing title and will do nothing in the matter, but say that Messrs Williams & Norgate must get a new copy of the part containing the title-pages, at a cost of around 12 shillings.
Harrison writes that this a most unusual attitude for a publisher to take up and cannot understand how this firm can decline.
Harrison instructs Messrs Williams & Norgate to request again and to inform them that the subscription is for the Royal Society of London. Harrison writes that the Royal Society shall consider discontinuing their subscription of the Jahrbucher if they do not receive what is due to them.
