Sir Archibald Geikie has passed for press the proof sheets of the text of the above, and he wishes me to inform you that we are now instructing our printers to make up the volume in the following order and issue as soon as possible:-
1. Letter press. 2. Key map. 3. Daily maps. 4. Monthly maps.
Should you have any comment, or any further suggestions to make, perhaps you would kindly let me have a line with the least possible delay.
Sir Archibald Geikie is going abroad for a few weeks and is desirous that the volume should be got out as soon as may be.'
