Description'I am directed to inform you that your paper on "The thermal properties of carbonic acid at low temperatures", is about to be reported to a Committee of the Society with a recommendation in favour generally of publication in the Philosophical Transactions.
In the meantime however, I am to call your attention to the enclosed remarks upon the paper and to ask whether you are prepared to modify the text and illustrations in the sense they suggest. In that case the paper will go forward to the Committee in its amended form. For the purpose of comparing these notes with the original, I return you the paper and illustrations herewith.'
