TitleCopy letter from John Rose Bradford to His Excellency, the American Ambassador
Date22 November 1912
Description'You will doubtless be interested to hear that the Royal Society have this year awarded their Buchanan medal to Colonel William C Gorgas, of the United States Army, for this sanitary administration of the works of the Panama Canal.
The President and Council feel that this affords special ground for the hope that you may be able to be present, or may be represented, at the distribition of the Medals, which takes place at the Anniversary Meeting of the Society on Saturday, November 30th, at 4:15pm. In that event it is hoped that as Colonel Gorgas is unable to attend, you will receive the medal on his behalf.'
