TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor C [Charles] H [Herbert] Lees FRS
Date8 April 1913
Description'Mrs Schuster has sent me the enclosed letter from Prof Bragg relating to the paper he communicated the other day, as already reported to you. You will see what he days about the reading of the paper. The next day for Physical paper, after next week, would in the ordinary sequence be May 1st; but we are to some extent in the hands of Sir J J Thomson who has not yet chosen his day for the Bakerian Lecture. I have written to him about it. I suppose there is no reason why young Mr Bragg should not expound the paper, as his father wishes. Perhaps, if you approve the paper for reading, it might be advisable to add it to those you have already marked for the 17th, which make a fairly short list now, with one of the authors in Canada. Do you think Bragg's experiments would make an attractive exhibit for the Soiree on May 7th? I should be glad of your opinion on that point, because we are at present markedly short of exhibits on the physical side. Perhaps you will be here on Thursday in which case there is no need for you to write in answer to this.'
