TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor J [Jocelyn] F [Field] Thorpe FRS
Date15 April 1913
Description'I have delayed replying to your letter of March 28th until I could see the President who has only just returned from abroad. Having regard to the fact that the Royal Society is Trustee for the Sorby Fund and that the rules for its administration are made by the Society, the President thinks it would be desirable that the volume of collected papers to which you refer as having been sent individually to members of the Sorby Committee, should be supplemented by a short written report upon the work carried out by means of the Fellowship to be sent in here officially for the Committee. At the same time he thinks that it would be very helpful to the Committee to continue to receive the published copies of your papers on the work done by means of the Fellowship, and I should be glad to have a copy sent here to preserve with the file of the Sorby documents.'
