TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [Charles Herbert] Lees, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 June 1913
DescriptionHas his memo on Dr Travers' paper. There is no power definitely to decline publication accept by vote of the committee, and since his committee will be meeting before the end of the session perhaps it can wait until then. Professor [Arthur] Schuster thinks that it ought to go to a third referee, and thought Sir Edward Thorpe the most suitable, and that if it goes to him then the other reports should also. Asks if Lees agrees with this step.

Regarding Griffiths' paper, a letter was received from him. Lees will remember that he thought Griffiths ought to be called upon to introduce the references desired into the present paper. Schuster thinks that a Fellow of such old standing need not worry himself with discussing other investigators' work. Asks if he accepts Schuster's view.

Lazarus Fletcher has reported on the paper by Rudge on a 'Meteoric iron'. He advises that the paper be delayed until the author can include a more detailed chemical analysis. Asks what should be done in light of this report.
